Best known for playing Guillermo de la Cruz on What We Do in the Shadows, he made history as the first queer Latinx actor nominated for a Critics Choice Award in the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ category—not just once, but five times. His work has also earned him two Imagen Awards and roles across TV, movies, and animation.
Harvey’s career has taken off, landing him in projects like Blue Beetle, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Reacher, and The Magicians. You might have also heard his voice in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish as Perrito, or in Harley Quinn, The Garfield Movie, and Angry Birds Mystery Island. Recently, he’s starred in Companion, The Life of Chuck, and the upcoming Disney+ movie Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.
Harvey isn’t just an actor—he’s an advocate for LGBTQ+ visibility and representation. He’s used his platform to push for change, show up for the community, and remind everyone that being yourself is your biggest strength. From breaking into Hollywood to making history, his journey proves that you don’t have to fit the mold to succeed—you just have to be unapologetically you.
Join us for the 20th Annual Governor’s Conference on LGBTQ+ Youth as Harvey takes the stage to share his story and celebrate 20 years of progress, resilience, and the future we’re building together.
Each Year, we bring unique celebrities, influencers, and performers to the Governor's Conference on LGBTQ Youth. From TV and movie stars, to drag performers and authors, each speaker is carefully chosen for their message and commitment to making the conference unforgettable for LGBTQ youth.
